ANALYSIS OF JOURNEYS PHOTOS

These are some pictures of the band, the smaller picture was used in a press advert. I think the band are just represented as five normal guys here, they look like nice happy guys. They are dressed in normal clothes. These are just average pictures of the band I thinks its just for people to notice them.

I would say that from these pictures you can tell there are some elements that their genre of music is probably ‘soft’ rock. As there characteristics show this for example the long and bubbly hair, the leather jackets and their style overall.

I think they appeal to a soft rock audience is well, because there music isn’t exactly full on rock however has some features expected to be seen and heard in a rock song therefore I would classify this bands genre as ‘soft’ rock.

ANALYSIS OF JOURNEYS ALBUM COVERS

Above are some of journeys album covers, as you can see these album covers are very unique and are very rarely seen. They do not involve a picture of the band. They are all very mysterious and all in bright colours this could be how the company wanted to represent the group. Three of the covers have a bug with wings on it this could be there logo so when people see that logo they will recognize it has something to do with the band journey.

One of them has the bug with its wings around the earth this tells us that maybe the band want the whole world to listen to their music. Although these covers seem weird I still like them as they are different to all the other album covers this it is not something you expect to see therefore you remember it more as it sticks in your mind because its so unusual, the bright variety of colours and the weird pictures just make it more attractive to look at. However one of the down side is that there are no pictures of the band on any album covers so people will not be able to recognize the artists or know how they look like from the album.
